The company aims at making renewables cheaper and more common. For instance, one of Tibber's smart charging technologies called ‘Power up’ allows drivers to charge their cars when the price of electricity is lowest.
To do so, they formed a partnership with Easee, a Norwegian company producing EV chargers and software, and developed a solution where Tibber can directly communicate with the charging wall-boxes in a reliable way. “Electrical vehicles can help maintain the balance in the power grid,” says Kari Dalen, senior advisor at energy company Statnett. “The switch to more renewable energy increases the need for flexibility to safeguard the stable supply of power. It will therefore be both useful and cost-effective for society if more consumers can offer their flexibility.”
Why not produce more power? The universe is infinite with new discoveries and resources..
