CHANNEL passengers were stuck in nine-mile queues for up to TEN HOURS as terror cops stormed Dover and checked vehicles.
Police today confirmed that the incident was a counter-terror operation - but would not give any further details because the operation remained “sensitive”. "We would like to reassure the public that there is no threat to public safety in relation to this activity and thank all those affected for their cooperation and understanding.”
