A video of Republican Texas state Rep. Dan Huberty's DWI arrest was shared online Saturday, as the lawmaker admitted that he was drunk when he crashed his vehicle into a minivan Friday night.
At around 9 p.m. local time on Friday, Huberty, 52, was arrested by Montgomery County police officers when he failed a sobriety test after crashing into a minivan with his Corvette, according to the Montgomery County Precinct 4 Constables Office. The Montgomery County Police Reporter shared a video to YouTube showing his arrest and officials towing his vehicle away. The clip has been watched thousands of times since it was uploaded earlier today.
Police arrived on the scene to find the black Corvette"parked under a minivan," according to the outlet. Authorities said Huberty did not stop for a red light before the crash. Three people in the minivan suffered minor injuries and Huberty did not suffer any injuries, according to ABC-13.On Saturday, Huberty admitted he was driving while intoxicated and said he was seeking treatment in a"Last night I was driving under the influence of alcohol and involved in a minor automobile accident in Montgomery County," he wrote."Fortunately, no one was seriously injured.
