Gas stoves are terrible for boiling water. As an Italian i can't live like this. Also it's burning a fossil fuel in your kitchen. Unless your hood is venting to the outdoors, get rid of it.

I just did a quick search on the amount of methane produced by cattle. I would say, don't sweat the gas stove, and cut out steaks, hamburgers, and shakes.

This is easily observable since the area immediately above a gas burner gets extremely hot!

Small semi randomized sample group, lots of uncontrolled variables, estimations etc but interesting to consider how the small household gas leaks add up
