As gas prices hover at record levels, California State University, Northridge will tap growing attention being placed on electric vehicles during a car show and roundtable discussion of current energy issues on Thursday, April 7.

The electric vehicle show will take place on the grounds of CSUN’s Institute for Sustainability from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. People attending will get the chance to view and test-drive cars from automakers including Chevrolet, Tesla, Honda and Porsche. The vehicles will be located at the corner of Lindley Avenue and Vincennes Street, near the University Student Union complex.

The roundtable, “The Future of Electric Vehicles in the U.S.,” will include speakers from Porsche AG, Tesla, Honda, Chevrolet and Chargie, a company developing a nationwide network of charging stations for electric vehicles. The conversation will begin at noon, in person at the university’s Sustainability Center, Room 103.
