Sky News Queensland Editor Peter Gleeson says it’s going to be a “tough task” travelling this Easter holidays with the shortage of rental cars.

“Apparently, some organisation that monitors the availability of rental cars says, basically, you will not get a rental car in places like Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Ballina, Byron Bay, Adelaide, the Sunshine Coast, just no cars at all,” Mr Gleeson told Sky News Australia.

“If you want one in Sydney, expect to pay $247 a day, if you want one in Melbourne, $369 a day, and if you want a car in Adelaide over Easter, $633 a day.”
