PETALING JAYA: Johor should develop a system to support the usage of electric vehicles in the state, including charging stations.

This was the aspiration of Johor Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar that was shared with Transport Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.

"This includes aspects like charging stations, the development of battery technologies, research and development activities and other supporting sectors for electric vehicles," said Dr Wee in a Facebook post on Saturday . He said Sultan Ibrahim gave his views on developing electric vehicles in Malaysia and was informed of the direction and policies to support such facilities here.
