Officers were called to the 9000 block of Brayton Drive at 2:26 a.m. after reports of multiple gunshots, police wrote in aAuthorities were then notified that a person arrived at an Anchorage hospital with a life-threatening gunshot wound to the upper body. Another victim was reported at a separate hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the lower body, police said.
Both were believed to have been injured in the shooting, and police said they were brought to the hospitals in personal vehicles. Limited information was provided about the shooting Monday morning, but police said the circumstances and motive were under investigation. No arrests were immediately made, but police said they did not believe there was a public safety threat.
