PETALING JAYA: A viral message advising travellers on the North-South Expressway not to stop at R & R along the highway to avoid their vehicles from being tampered with by unscrupulous tow trucks is fake, says PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS).

"Besides managing traffic incidents on the mainline, the presence of the Highway Police Patrolling Units are to assist and protect highway customers, enforce the law and curb any illegal activities on the highways,” it said.

It said this was possible through its long-standing collaboration with the Royal Malaysia Police to improve the safety levels across its highway ecosystem.
