SINGAPORE — Conducting checks on all outgoing vehicles from Singapore's land checkpoints will have a significant impact on trade and travel, and could also"severely worsen" the departure traffic situation, said the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority .
TODAY also asked if ICA is considering a review of its policy of not checking 100 per cent of outgoing vehicles at the border checkpoints. This is why the approach to departure checks changes based on Singapore's prevailing security posture, ICA said in its response.
Complancy.
. ICA_singapore that's your job though. Isn't it? govsingapore
Oic ..Best time to run road is during traffic jam issit 🤔
Someone sleeping on the wheel 😂
ICA replied that they were arrival-centric, as it would worsen the traffic jam.The escape is embarrassing to Singapore reputed for her strong border security. Our border security should be reliable on both sides of the fence. It's time to be departure-centric as well.
