'Called the wrong bluff': Ministers criticized for Canada's Russian turbine return during tense hearing
Foreign Affairs Minister Melanie Joly was challenged Thursday on her assertion the federal government making the decision to grant a two-year exemption to federal sanctions, allowing a Canadian company to return repaired turbines from a Russian-German natural gas pipeline, was done to 'call Putin's bluff.
In an exclusive opinion column for CTVNews.ca, Don Martin says Doug Ford coasted to majority re-election victory in Ontario by sticking to the middle of the road: 'Not too progressive. Not too conservative.'
Simple: stop voting for the liberals
EVs don’t need gas and don’t pay gas taxes. It’s only natural that government is trying to tax EVs to maintain their tax revenue. Why would EV owners be surprised?
Sure! Why not include branded clothing, sports equipment & gadgets?
My father is not super rich. He worked as a tradesman all his life. He just retired. He ordered his dream car for $150k. He will be dinged an extra 15,000 for this stupid tax. He is contemplating on not completing the deal now when the car gets here. This is bullsheet.
So.... The climate bullsh*t is an emergency.. But.. Taxing heavy on a vehicle that the government is coercing everybody to purchase.. I.. Wh... Is this.. What?
Lol. Ok. Still don’t care.
And it should.. they are for rich people as it stands now. Why the heck should poor people subsidize only rich people buying teslas.. I’m not poor, but I also wouldn’t waste my money on a overpriced ev, so perhaps that makes me “not rich” to think I should be subsidized is nuts
owned by the super rich 🤷
