According to the Society of the Irish Motor Industry, last month new car registrations were down over 17%.Brian Cooke, Director General of SIMI explains:"We're only 1.5% of the overall European car market. "We've had Brexit so in some cases increased logistical customs issues. It's more expensive to get cars into Ireland."Dave Humphreys from Complete Car dot ie thinks it’s possible if people bide their time."That will help to bring down the cost because the market will have to react and have to change."

I also think it's because we are ripped off for cars in this country, I mean to say VRT is completely illegal but Ireland is making more than the fines handed down by the EU
