Officers said they witnessed large plumes of tire smoke caused by several burnouts and donuts. One driver allegedly tried to flee, ramming their car into a patrol vehicle. Both cars suffered minor damage and no one was injured.
That driver was arrested for assault on a peace officer, a felony in California. Another felony arrest came from a search where police allegedly found firearms and drugs. This level of enforcement doesn't come as a surprise. Police across the country have begun to crack down on street takeovers, otherwise known as side shows, due to their danger and disturbance to local communities.
