Quedith Mullins, 61, was killed following a vehicle hit-and-run collision in Tucson. Police were investigating two vehicles of interest.

Tucson police are investigating two vehicles of interest connected with the death of a motorcyclist that occurred late August.On Aug. 26 around 8 p.m., Tucson police officers responded to a request from the Tucson Fire Department near the intersection of Grant Road and Silverbell Road. The Tucson Fire Department had been dispatched for a call regarding an unresponsive man, officials said.

Tucson fire crews found the man, later identified as Mullins, with injuries consistent with being involved in a vehicle collision, and was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said. Traffic Unit Detectives from the Tucson Police Department continued the investigation at the scene, and found evidence suggesting the victim was riding a homemade motorcycle before an unknown vehicle struck him, according to police. The collision did not occur on a public roadway, police said.Tucson police released photographs of two vehicles that were seen leaving the area shortly before the collision.

The vehicles were described as a silver Honda Odyssey minivan and a black Lincoln SUV. The Tucson Police Department said that detectives would like to speak with the occupants regarding the crash. Anyone with information is encouraged to call traffic detectives at 520-837-7245 or 88-CRIME if they want to share information anonymously.
