Earlier today, an Garda Siochana tweeted: "Gardaí and Emergency services are currently en route to a serious three car collision on the M50, northbound between junction 9 and 7. Consideration should be given to take an alternative route, at this time. Updates will be provided."The crash site has since been cleared and the M50 is once again open to traffic.
A spokesperson for Gardai told the Irish Mirror: "A earlier collision on the M50 has been cleared and the motorway is full open to traffic. "We have no reports or details of any injures currently, as the responding units are on active patrol."
This is pretty much every day now - and the weather can hardly have been a factor. Are driving standards slipping?
