A man has been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged stabbing at a playpark in Johnstone which took place just minutes after a car crash.
Officers were called to the scene on Elm Drive at around 2.30pm on Thursday, October 27, following reports of a ‘disturbance’ and road traffic collision. A 21-year-old man was badly injured and rushed to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley for treatment to serious but non-life threatening injuries.Investigators have now charged a 29-year-old man in connection. He was due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Tuesday, November 22.
A statement from Police Scotland said: “Following our appeal for information after a man was seriously injured after a crash and subsequent disturbance in Johnstone, we can confirm that a man has been arrested and charged.Top news stories today “The 29-year-old man was due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 22 November, 2022. Enquiries into the full circumstances are continuing.”
