Some people are homeless by choice. Some choose to live in their car by choice. It's not just in cities either but also in rural communities. Some just fall into the grey murky area where local authorities put them to the bottom of the list for housing.
It’s companies and recent 0hr contracts. They use this to save themselves money without realising the uncertain working hours effects workers living standards. I left a 0hr contract job to improve myself, but now unemployed and close to homeless as full time jobs are limited.

I was born into and grew up in a house dominated by a workshy socialist 'father'. I quickly learnt how to get out of it. Get a job,work hard and only buy something you can afford and pay for cash. The rewards are great!

Government and local councils made it very difficult now to renovate and rent they also own many boarded up X council houses. They have caused this problem not private landlords or second home owners
