The gas station was open at the time of the shooting and an employee was inside, though no one else was at the station, said Park Ridge Police Executive Officer Tom Gadomski.

Park Ridge police are investigating a shooting at a gas station at Higgins Road and Cumberland Avenue at about 2:15 a.m. Monday that has no known victims, according to a police news release.

The shooting occurred between the occupants of two vehicles that had pulled into the gas pump/parking lot area of the Mobil and 7-Eleven gas station and convenience store at that location, police said in the news release, fired multiple shots and fled the area immediately afterward. The station is very close to the Cumberland exit of the I-90 expressway.

Detectives are reviewing surveillance camera footage and anyone with information is asked to contact the Park Ridge Police Department at 847-318-5252.
