Tesla fined $2.2 million for not disclosing shorter driving range in low temps.

Tesla exaggerated"driving ranges of its cars on a single charge, their fuel cost-effectiveness compared to gasoline vehicles as well as the performance of its Superchargers" on its website for almost three years.

The KFTC claimed Tesla's lineup of cars can have their range axed by up to 50.5 percent compared to their advertised range. Tesla's website outlines tips and guidelines for improving range in cold temperatures, such as pre-conditioning their batteries or using its app to keep track of energy consumption. But, asCold weather and batteries don't mix well.

Well, duh!

And if you drive aggressively in a ICE car you’ll get shorter range. What kind of hit piece is this?

What about Ford?

That could be said for all forms of transportation.

Who DIDN'T know?

Global warming will help them go further 👌

Don’t ICE cars have lower mileage in cold weather? Or at altitude? Shouldn’t they be sued as well? And is there really anyone who doesn’t know that batteries use more energy in cold weather? Don’t these ppl use smartphones? This is ridiculous
