Mazda MX-30 R-EV 2023 didedahkan – enjin Wankel Rotary kembali diproduksi untuk sistem hibrid plug-in

terdahulu, sebaliknya ia berfungsi sebagai enjin penambah jarak dengan unit rangkaian kuasa yang dikenali sebagai e-Skyactiv R-EV.

Kapasiti bateri lithium-ion yang dibekalkan tersebut juga hanya separuh dari kapasiti bateri MX-30 EV. Ini membolehkan ia menggerakkan crossover tersebut dalam jarak 85 km menurut standard WLTP. Tiga mod pemanduan ditawarkan pada MX-30 R-EV ini Normal, EV dan Charge. Dalam mod Normal, ia akan memberikan operasi seakan EV biasa, tetapi akan menghidupkan enjin rotary ketika memecut.
