Callers reported several vehicles pulled over on the eastbound shoulder of I-10 near Callaghan Road, blocking traffic. Drivers began doing donuts on the highway, while at least one person exited a white Dodge Challenger and discharged a firearm, SAPD said.As officers responded to a shooting in progress at 10:15 p.m., vehicles left the area at a “high rate of speed,” SAPD said.
Some of the vehicles fleeing the area were subsequently involved in crashes, causing a four-car pile-up in the 7900 block of I-10 westbound, police said.
