Police spokesperson Tyler Bell-Morena told Global News that people misusing 911 has become a “major issue” facing communications centres in the Greater Toronto Area. “Someone just dialed 911 to ask for the bus schedule because their bus was late. Public Service Announcement: This is not a reason to call 911. reporterkevin Doubtless 911 gets a lot of stupid calls, on the other hand when I found my car jacked up with a tool beside the jack, that was not a 911 call. A tow truck driver told me he saw a pick up full of catalytic converters being unloaded & that wasn't a 911 call either.
