I would say 1 in 10 cars now stop when someone is at a zebra crossing in the UK. Sadly we have become like Europe whereby cars have right of way. Place cameras on such crossings and fine those who don't stop councils etc would make a fortune.

We have zebras on a main route here and roughly 25% don't stop. A boy was hit the other week. I had to go out and wave at people and shame them into stopping for a lady on a mobility scooter. They are dangerous beyond belief as cars don't stop.
Not sticking up for drivers at all as this is so dangerous but saw the same with pedestrians our Traffic warden has to stop them crossing now and then otherwise no traffic would move & he then calls cars through but see pedestrians ignoring him and still trying to cross
I daily see many horrible aggresive car drivers on the road. For public safety it's the police job to remove these people.

I am not suprised, I don’t live there but near a school and the parking, driving and attitudes of some of the parents is ridiculous. Just waiting for a serious accident to happen. They park on the DYL, junctions, over driveways, on peoples drive ways, they just don’t care.
