A heavily pregnant Scots mum has been left traumatised after heartless thieves smashed through her front door while she and her family slept before stealing two cars.
Speaking to the Record, Laura, who is due to give birth to her second child in just eight weeks time, said: "It was just horrendous. We are in utter disbelief. Both Laura and Chris's vehicles were later recovered in Glenmavis and nearby Salsburgh, in North Lanarkshire - however those responsible have not yet been identified.
Laura now hopes the culprits will be caught - however she says it will be hard to recover from the emotional and mental damage caused by the reckless incident while she also tries to shield daughter Willow from the horror of it all. "Thankfully Willow didn't hear the front door being smashed but she was scared as she heard the commotion.The couple have now had security cameras installed outside their home while the thieves remain at large.
