Government funding will help a non-profit transit organization modernize its fleet. | SaltWire

Kings Point-to-Point Transit Society is a community-based, non-profit charitable organization offering accessible door-to-door transportation services to Kings County residents east of Aylesford. It requires a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for a booking and currently books more than 100 trips daily.Kings Point-to-Point Transit started 25 years ago with two vehicles in Canning. It was part of the Community Transportation Assistance Program of Nova Scotia.

“We’re really very thankful that this came at the time that it did,” Goddard said of the funding. “It will enable us to increase our fleet from 10 to 13 vehicles.” One of its existing vehicles will be sold when a replacement is secured.
