The more than 362,000 affected Tesla models may be 'unsafe around intersections' and may not respond sufficiently to changes to posted speed limits.

Tesla said vehicles with the full self-driving beta software or pending installation may allow it to exceed speed limits or travel through intersections in an"unlawful or unpredictable manner," increasing the risk of a crash.

Examples of what vehicles could do include traveling straight through an intersection while in a turn-only lane, entering an intersection with a stop sign without coming to a complete stop or going through an intersection during a steady yellow traffic signal without caution. The recall also noted the system may not respond sufficiently to changes in posted speed limits or not account for the driver's adjustment of the vehicle's speed to exceed speed limits.
