Miti is encouraging the introduction of more affordable EVs in Malaysia in order to advance the country’s EV industry.

PETALING JAYA: The Ministry of International Trade and Industry is encouraging the introduction of more affordable electric vehicles in Malaysia in order to advance the country’s EV industry.

"We have now encouraged the importation of more EVs particularly from China because we want to have more EVs that are affordable for the rakyat,” he said during his keynote speech at the 70th platinum anniversary dinner of the Electrical and Electronics Association of Malaysia. "We will be working with highway concessionaires such as PLUS Expressways Bhd for the charging stations.
