SINGAPORE — Two people were taken to the hospital after an accident involving a motorcycle, a car and a minibus at a traffic junction in Tampines on Tuesday (Feb 28).

Responding to TODAY’s queries, the police said that they were alerted at 4.10pm to the accident at the junction of Tampines Avenue 10 and Tampines Road.

A 46-year-old male motorcyclist and a 47-year-old female car passenger were taken conscious to Changi General Hospital, the police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force said.Videos shot from in-car cameras were circulating on social media showing the aftermath of the accident. They showed a red Mazda multi-purpose vehicle with its bonnet damaged and its back against a double-decker bus.

A motorcycle was seen lying on its side in the middle of the junction with some debris, along with a white minibus, an ambulance and personnel who appeared to be paramedics.involving two motorcycles and a minibus. In that accident, a 54-year-old minibus driver was arrested for alleged careless driving causing death, after a motorcycle pillion rider died.
