The American automaker allegedly submitted a patent for "System & Methods to Repossess a Vehicle" in media reports., the new system, which can disable one or more vehicle functions, could be installed in any Ford vehicle. It claims that everything on the car, including the air conditioning and engine, can be turned off.

This is just like car companies wanting everyone on a subscription to make all your options work on the car. How long before we hack and defeat their software locks on our own vehicles? Kind of like cell phone companies locking your phone just root it and its gone.
Ya know cars have anti theft systems on them and the thieves still manage to steal them how long before we end up hacking our own cars so we have control and big brother does not!
