Germany, EU Reach Deal on Combustion-Engine Plan

BRUSSELS—The European Union reached a deal with Germany that is expected to soften the bloc’s plan to effectivelyThe EU is pursuing an ambitious plan to fight climate-change-causing greenhouse-gas emissions that relies heavily on the mass adoption of electric vehicles.

The whole notion that we can replace ICE by 2035 without causing greater environmental damage is ludicrous.

The EU was formed as a union of independent states. Now these states have to 'reach deals' with a bureaucratic behemoth that is not accountable to anyone and mostly run by 12 unelected commissioners.
