A new plan is set to be announced

Offenders blighting their communities will be put to work in jumpsuits or hi-viz jackets to clean up their crimes within 48 hours of being handed punishments, Rishi Sunak is set to announce. The Prime Minister said his plan, due to be announced on Monday, would “crackdown” on anti-social behaviour “once and for all”.

“These are not minor crimes. They disrupt people’s daily lives, hold businesses back and erode the sense of safety and community that brings people together. That’s why I’m bringing forward a new plan to crack down on this behaviour once and for all — so that everyone can feel proud of where they live.”

Mr Sunak dedicated a portion of his new year speech, setting out his five pledges ahead of the next election, on his ambitions to tackle anti-social behaviour. He said that low-level offences made “life miserable for so many” and argued the destructive form of behaviour could “be a gateway to more extreme crimes”.

Whilst cleaning up and improving what they da.aged seems fine. Everything else are jobs that should be employed, particularly working in shops. I was disgusted by employment schemes that forced people to work for nothing in shops with no job prospects, this seems the same.

Maybe just maybe if all you politicians hadn’t removed discipline from schools in the early 80s and lowered standards of discipline year on year - just maybe the problem wouldn’t exist- just a thought 🤷‍♀️

I can get along with all of that apart from unpaid work in shops... Shops need to pay staff, not get work for free taking up someone else's potential paid job

Would love to hear his plan to clean up the mess that is our abandoned high streets.

Who pays for the jump suits

There is nothing new here. It's the same old plan that governments keep trotting out when they have run out of ideas......
