BYD sold over 1.8 million electric vehicles last year. As announced recently, BYD has a target of selling 3.6 million EVs this year. This would be an incredible achievement should the company manage to do it. Although the majority of these sales will be in its home market, a decent chunk of these sales are expected to come from BYD’s accelerated push to open up in new markets around the world.
One of the things helping BYD to accelerate its entry into new markets is its strategic partnership drive with local entities. In Thailand, for example, BYD has partnered with Rever Automotive. In Belgium and Luxembourg, BYD has partnered with Inchcape. In England, BYD has partnered with Pendragon.
