The South-West security outfit, Amotekun Corps, foiled a robbery attack on vehicles on the Akure-Ilesa Expressway and recovered a vehicle loaded with engine oil.

Commander of the corps in Osun, Brig-Gen. Bashir Adewinmbi , told newsmen in Osogbo on Saturday that the robbers attacked vehicles at the Ileki/Osu axis of the Ilesha-Akure Road for close to an hour.

“The robbers ambushed vehicles and were shooting into the air, forcing drivers to park, abandon their vehicles and run into bushes for safety.
