Two Northants villages in night of carnage after 29 vehicles hit by vandals

Residents in two villages in East Northamptonshire woke up this morning, Tuesday April 4, to the aftermath of a crime spree after nearly 30 cars were hit by vandals last night.

East Northamptonshire Neighbourhood Policing Sergeant Leigh-Françoise Goodwin said: “We believe that although the criminal damage and theft are linked, however this is an isolated series of incidents." Northants Police are now appealing for witnesses of anything suspicious in the area to come forward.

Sergeant Goodwin added: “Car tyres do not come cheap and understandably this spate of criminal damage has caused some concern within the community. The neighbourhood team will be conducting high-visibility patrols in the villages to provide reassurance and anyone with concerns is asked to speak to them.
