A series of powerful storms dumped rain and snow across California, refilling depleted reservoirs and mostly bringing an end to the state's drought. Lake Folsom and Lake Oroville show the dramatic changes. See the transformation:

” hit, causing widespread flooding and damaging homes and infrastructure, and dumping as many as 700 inches of snow in the Sierra Nevada mountains.“California went from the three driest years on record to the three wettest weeks on record when we were catapulted into our rainy season in January,” said Karla Nemeth, director of California Department of Water Resources. “So, hydrologically, California is no longer in a drought except for very small portions of the state.

during heavy rains in February 2017 and forced the evacuation of more than 180,000 people downstream along the Feather River. In late March, the water at Lake Oroville rose to 859 feet above sea level, about 230 feet higher than its low point in 2021, according to state data. Newsom has not declared the drought over because there are still water shortages along the California-Oregon border and parts of Southern California that rely on the struggling Colorado River.

They'll burn through that water faster than their lying, thieving, sociopathic governor can waste tax revenues.

So what was considered global warming has now been attributed to a long term drought. The state needs to find ways to harness the extra runoff from dams and levees and transport it to areas of California that need it.

WHERR IS NEWSOM? Visiting RED states.

Still low and the aquifers need recharging.

That is not frantic that is extreme.

Weird how the climate corrected itself without the help of humans hey?

That last time we had a good supply in our reservoirs, Newsom dumped it to give it some fish

This is great but California needs more reservoirs.

That’s a lot of water. Yay!

This was really once in a lifetime event for California.

Remember when climate change meant drought and the end of life in California?

💙👏👏👏👏💙

We need better storage and retrieval-use solutions. UseGreyWater

Now if they have the where with all they will be better at conserving water so the next drought won't be so bad

So climate change is over now?

So basically, Nevada and other states can block water going to California

Mother Earth knows how to heal.

That’s not even the same truck. This is doctored.

and what have we learned from this?

And people complained about nature helping them calling it global warming. This is literally nature functioning.

Well, that’s great news re the end of drought. I’m delighted that LA won’t be taking half of the Colorado river anymore. (Deep sarcasm intended).

Sadly It’s not enough water 😔

Come to Scotland, we have lots of rain

Stop reporting the drought is mostly over for us. IT. IS. NOT. Our reservoirs and lakes may be full or near to, but a California relies more on groundwater basins and THOSE are still severely depleted. We are still in a drought. Stop it.

Is it extending inland to Lakes Mead and Powell?

How long will it last? Regulate your water supply already, the Wild West is history. Time for responsible people to be in charge.

Lets hope they conserve water

Solving the problem of drought, which will make the environment here better

Great news!

Ground water still needs to be recharged.

It’s not even over.

Thank Me Later.❗️ ❤️💯🤝

We are about to get some strawberries grapes and other produce from California. This planting season is going to produce an amazing harvest

_Climate Oh No. This Climate change is killing us !!!

Yay🎉🎉🎉

That's a silver lining.

But wait, weren't we all supposed to die of thirst this summer. Wasn't the solution to eternal climate drought misery to be battery powered vibrators & channeling the Mississippi River to CA? WTF is going on? Is fear of drowning now your national threat de jour?

Notable is that CA hasn’t built a new reservoir in decades and is the only state in the Colorado River Compact that hasn’t agreed to make usage cuts. Meanwhile, Nevada gets 4% of Colorado flow and replaces most of that back into the river.

Cool we can cut them off from lake mead then

While spending so far, 110 billion on a train to nowhere, Kalifornistan is letting all that water run off into the ocean.......

…..and yet, California does not build more reservoirs or dams to plan for dry years. Most incompetent leadership anywhere.

Funny how mother nature works herself out without man's help😏 cool as hell ain't it

So what’s the problem? Truck the water to Las Vegas and fill Lake Mead even though I’m sure that’s probably filling too

Until the peanut farmers suck them dry again

Relief won't last long. Ca. refuses to build needed reservoirs letting most of this rain and snow run uncollected into the ocean.

Now manage the water in a wise manner

The California climate cult were screaming climate Armageddon during the recent dry winters. This year? Crickets. In 1976-77 California had a severe drought. This was when the next Ice Age was coming. Climate 🤡

Learn the lesson; don’t waste water!

This hasn’t “mostly” brought an end to our drought. Our groundwater basins are still heavily depleted. What we got was surface water restored and that doesn’t last long, especially with summers hitting over 100 for several consecutive days.

I saw a guy the other day claiming it had little to no impact on the drought California has experienced. It was mind boggling how someone could have said that.

Funny how nature works itself out. Man doesn't hold a candle to nature.

Climate activists in shambles.

Dramatic photos show how storms filled California reservoirsWater levels fell so low in key reservoirs during the depth of California's drought that boat docks sat on dry, cracked land and cars drove into the center of what should have been Folsom Lake. Those scenes are no more after a series of powerful storms. Until the Kardashians start watering their lawns again. They need a lot more reservoirs than they have. Now.
