After a two-year rally, the price of lithium carbonate, which is an important ingredient in the batteries for electric vehicles, dropped by 65 per cent. That could lead to cheaper electric cars.

An electric vehicle is charged in Ottawa on Wednesday, July 13, 2022. Waning demand for EVs, especially in China, has meant a drop in costs for battery metals, according to some economists.

Next gen batteries will be lithium free. This will make batteries less expensive, more efficient and cause less environmental impact

Well we know that’s a lie.

Bahaha that's not how this works, silly. That drop won't trickle down for some time(current batteries still made with the expensive Li).

We all know doesn’t no how to tell the truth just your demented version that suits your boss JustinTrudeau

Investors just moved to graphite and nickel

We need more African child slaves in lithium mines so that we can feel good driving out electric cars. Right?

I thought cbc was done on here

Tesla has batteries that are iron ore, the amount of lithium in batteries is decreasing all the time, the other metals Tesla eliminated. I suggest lookin at their Investor Day presentation. Lithium is nor rare or hard to acquire, Nevada has enough for N. American needs.

Defund the CBC.

... Hydrogen would make a difference.

I guess they found a way not to pay the kids who mine it.

We could probably get cheaper cobalt too if those pesky child slaves in the Congolese cobalt mines weren't so damn demanding about their working conditions.

Could 🤣

I call BS

Nope.

Lithium mining is deadly and not environmentally friendly

Why is this company so determined to pretend that it’s not a billion dollar government funded propaganda machine.

I guess they found more child labour in the mines.

Uh huh

Electric cars ain't the future.

Yes never mind the slave labor of children to get that lithium. What a joke.

More money for car companies. They'll give the consumer no quarter.

Also, better alternatives to lithium could also help.

Wheres all the lithium come from
