A traffic alert was issued for northbound Interstate 805 in the Miramar area early Monday after a collision involving three vehicles, including one that caught fire, officials said.
The crash was reported on Miramar Road near the on-ramp to northbound I-805 and involved a truck carrying portable toilets and two cars, police said. The California Highway Patrol issued a traffic alert for north I-805 at 6:50 a.m., according to an online log. The Miramar Road off-ramp also was closed.The truck went off the road and rolled into a gully, San Diego police Officer Sarah Foster said. One person was transported to a hospital to be treated for a broken pelvis, she said.
Video by OnScene TV showed firefighters putting out a fire that engulfed a car. Video also showed a woman being loaded into an ambulance.
