Peta Credlin said the reason for rejecting Ukraine's request for Hawkei armoured vehicles could only be described as 'BS'.

The Hawkei is an Australian-built, lightweight four-wheel-drive protected mobility vehicle, which Ukraine hopes will aid in its campaign to expel the Russian armed forces from the country.

The Hawkei Protected Mobility Vehicle â Light is designed and manufactured in Australia at Thalesâs Bendigo site in Victoria. Photo: Thales, this is due to a fault with the anti-lock braking system that undermines the vehicles’ stopping power at high speeds, with the ADF believing the army’s entire fleet of Hawkeis will need to be recalled to fix the problem.“So our worry, that the car might skid on highways, means Ukraine can't get it? I mean, come on,” Credlin said.

“They want the Hawkeye to help launch their counter-offensive, not to drive fast on highways, and the sooner they get it, the better,” she said.

Faulty braking system in Hawkei vehicles blamed for Aus not sending Ukraine more military aidThe Australian Defence Force is blaming a faulty braking system in Hawkei armoured vehicles for it’s reluctance to not send more to Ukraine. The anti-lock braking system fault affects the vehicles stopping power at high speeds but not its off-road performance. Defence says the entire fleet must be recalled to fix the problem. Come to think of it, all our vehicles have faulty brakes! So sorry, Ukraine Oh, ok… How about we don’t give Ukraine a damn thing. Say no to war and our country going broke to make them rich.

Calls for Hawkei vehicles to be sent to Ukraine despite brake system faultThe Ukrainian government has been begging Australia for months for more armoured vehicles to help its heroic defenders expel the Russian invader, says Sky News host Peta Credlin. “Today's The Australian newspaper carries the extraordinary news the Defence Department's excuse for not giving the Ukrainians the Hawkei, protected mobility vehicles that they also want – a sort of small kind of armoured car – is that its anti-lock braking system is defective,” Ms Credlin said. “So our worry that the cars might skid on the highways in Ukraine means the Ukrainians can't get the Hawkeis. “The Ukrainians don't care, neither should we. They want the Hawkei to help launch their counter-offensive, not to drive fast on the highways.” Stop aiding this war. It's not our war . Look after our own here in Australia first.
