SINGAPORE — Three people were taken to hospital after an accident involving several vehicles occurred along the Central Expressway (CTE) in the late morning on Thursday (April 20).

A 29-year-old male lorry driver and two of his male passengers, aged 36 and 37, were taken to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.

Two lorries, a van and a bus were part of the accident on CTE towards Seletar Expressway, before the Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3 exit, the police said in response to TODAY’s queries. It is unclear how the accident happened. However, a video clip posted on Roads.sg’s Facebook page showed a dashcam footage capturing a bus swerving abruptly towards its right, narrowly avoiding a collision with a nearby car.One of the vehicles involved in the accident looks like a hearse carrying a coffin.

Several images posted on a Facebook page named Singapore Roads Accident.com showed the rear-door glass of the hearse being shattered and there seemed to be dents on its exterior. Another lorry belonging to Comfort Design, a furniture retailer, also sustained dents on its back door due to the accident.
