Retired broadcaster Charlie Bird has praised medical staff who assisted him after he suffered a second fall in the space of a few weeks.
Charlie was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in late 2021 and has been campaigning about the debilitating illness, which he said, has caused him muscle stiffness and led to uncontrollable crying in the past, Dublin Live reported. He told his followers he was receiving care at St Michael's Hospital, stressing that the injuries he sustained were mild and described medical staff at the Dublin facility as "heroes."
