On affected vehicles, a manufacturing error in the instrument panel may keep the passenger airbag from going off when it should, increasing the risk of injury in a crash. The automaker is asking owners of affected vehicles to keep passengers out of that front seat until they’ve had their Corolla Cross repaired.
Dealers will inspect the instrument panels in affected Toyotas and, if necessary, replace them. Owners of vehicles covered by the recall will be contacted by late July.Article content
