won the award for the best Overall Value among all non-premium vehicles. Thanks to its loyal following, the SUV enjoys low depreciation, a key factor contributing to the Wrangler's win. The Wrangler also benefited from high retained values and low insurance totals.took the cake. This small luxury SUV had especially low depreciation in addition to low fuel and repair costs.In addition to honoring individual vehicles, IntelliChoice evaluates automotive brands.

In determining these awards, IntelliChoice takes a sales-weighted average of a brand's model lineup. For a brand to win the ownership costs category, its vehicles must have the lowest total ownership costs. To nab the value award, a brand's vehicles must have significantly lower than expected ownership costs for their peer groups.

Toyota and Lexus scored a total of three wins after not receiving any brand wins the previous year. Jeep and Porsche both repeated their winning performance from the previous year in the retained value category.
