The driver of the vehicle is being 'medically assessed'

In a statement to JOE, a Bus Éireann spokesperson said that the vehicle was not in service at the time, meaning there were no passengers on board.They added that the driver of the double decker bus is being"medically assessed". A Garda spokesperson, meanwhile, told JOE that"no injuries were reported".

Following the incident, the road was closed with diversions in place but has since been fully reopened for use. While the accident did cause Irish Rail delays on Monday morning, normal services have recommenced. Delays to 07:00 Dublin Heuston to Cork and 09:25 Cork to Dublin Heuston services can be expected due to a vehicle hitting a bridge at Dublin Hill. Update to follow. -AB"There is a minor diversion to route 207A between Glenthorn and Merchants Quay which will not serve Dublin Hill or Blackpool village until the road reopens. Irish Rail services will continue to operate as normal.
