A "significant" and "fierce" north Sydney car workshop fire, which has damaged several cars and sent "thick, acrid smoke" spewing into the sky.
Emergency services were called to the tyre and mechanical workshop on Old Pittwater Road in Brookvale, just north of Manly, about 6.45pm.
