Meet R.J. Scaringe, Founder Of Rivian Automotive—And Tesla’s Worst NightmareThe talk of November’s LA Auto Show wasn’t Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, BMW or any of the usual luxury car suspects. Rather, buzz was created by a little-known electric-vehicle builder, Rivian Automotive, based in Plymouth, Michigan Americans come back in car industry.. Tesla already started invasion of Europe with their model 3s.. Next will be Rivian! While lazy fearful in VW and Dimler sitting on their billions and watching how their ship is sinking like a Titanic. How is this Tesla nightmare, if they have completely different customer ideals? Most Tesla customers are not buying it, based on it off-road performance? Sure it may generate some competitiveness on the electric market, but it is definitely not a nightmare... at least for now I'm really excited for this truck to hit the Market. The 400mile range should be the base range imo since once to start adding payload or a trailer its going to drop quick. I don't like the location of the charging port, since you back pickup trucks into a spot.
