Almost no difference in driving dynamicsHaving to explain why you didn't just get the Quad-Motor
Inside, the only differences to be found are in the center infotainment screen, specifically the Drive Modes page. Those familiar with the Quad-Motor will notice something's missing here. Conserve mode, which disconnected the rear motors from the wheels to save power on Quads, is gone. The Duals simply decide for themselves when to connect and disconnect the rear axle based on how you're driving.
The only Quad-Motor trucks we've run through our figure-eight test have been equipped with the optional 20-inch all-terrain off-road tires, so it's no surprise lighter Dual-Motor Performance on all-season street tires performs better. It laid down a 25.7-second lap at 0.72 average g, well ahead of the knobby-tire Quad-Motor's 26.6 seconds at 0.68 average g.
