Beginning July 1, the driveway is closed from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days a week, reopening on the Tuesday after Labour Day.

The NCC reopens the road to traffic for major events at Lansdowne beginning three hours beforehand and continuing for three hours after the event ends.

Surrounding road construction on Bronson Avenue and on Colonel By Driveway means the Queen Elizabeth Driveway closure only adds to the traffic congestion. And it’s affecting tourism too, Sutcliffe said. Sutcliffe says he’s made his views known to the NCC.
