Former interior designer Raymia Osman, 57, said floods were a major concern for voters in the Kota Anggerik constituency, especially around the Persiaran Olahraga near a private university, as well as Section 13 close to Stadium Shah Alam and a hypermarket. Kota Anggerik residents say the area needs better public transport which should also be environmentally-friendly.
Technical operator Joseph Raj said a more visible police presence was needed, especially foot patrols.With a total of 95,104 voters, Malays in Kota Anggerik make up the majority at 68,690, Chinese , Indians , Sabahans , Sarawakians , Orang Asli while other ethnicities constitute 853 voters. Kota Anggerik is regarded as the heart of Shah Alam with several landmarks, including Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque, Shah Alam Stadium and the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Building.
