The first and perhaps most pressing of the three recalls impact 778 vehicles built between October 22, 2021, and June 29, 2023. Lucid has revealed that cars that have not been updated to software version 2.0.66 or later lack a software feature that prevents unwarned loss of power in the unlikely event of a power module inverter failure.
However, investigations revealed that in some customer cars, an inverter failure could trigger the fuses to open, resulting in an immediate loss of power without warning. Lucid will remedy the issue by updating the software of all 778 vehicles.that were built from October 22, 2021, to June 13, 2023. In this case, the carmaker says the windshield wiper arm nuts may have loosened over time, meaning one or both of the wipers may not work effectively and may cease to function at all.
