Virginia State Police confirmed later in the evening that there were no life-threatening injuries, but some people became trapped in their vehicles in the incident, taking place just after 4 p.m. Eastern. The driver of the truck also stole an ambulance from the scene of the crash, and struck other vehicles as it led police towards Washington D.C., with the individual later being arrested at gunpoint after crashing the ambulance.
